Celebrating Christmas with Joy and Gratitude!
Welcome to the merriest season at Residential Concepts (RCI)! Christmas holds a special place in our hearts, filling us with boundless joy, gratitude, cheer, and love.
Our participants are not just observers; they are active contributors to the holiday spirit! We all enjoy creating holiday fun! Joining in the festivities, they have the opportunity to transform our day program into a joyful Christmas paradise by crafting their own decorations. With dedication and creativity, they skillfully create charming gingerbread plates, festive woodblock Christmas stacks, adorable Jenga piece snowmen, puzzle piece wreath ornaments, and rustic wooden Holiday signs that truly “SPRUCE” up our space.
As part of our cooking activities, we whipped up a delightful “Who-hating” cup of Grinch Hot Chocolate! Over medium heat, we combined milk, white chocolate chips, vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and green food coloring, creating a delicious and festive Christmas drink that added an extra touch of warmth to our celebrations.
Some Holiday Fun at Anchor Fitness
Beyond the crafting and cooking, we took a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our community partner, Anchor Fitness. This gesture extended beyond the holiday season to acknowledge their unwavering support throughout the year.
Participants from our weekly group fitness class created a special autographed sign shaped like a puzzle piece that conveyed, “Thank you for being an important piece of our story!”
In appreciation, RCI donated an ECHO bike to Anchor Fitness, recognizing Leah and Joseph Mendenhall, along with the entire Anchor Fitness family, for the continuous opportunities they provide to our ADS program and participants year-round.
At RCI, the holiday season is not only about decorations and treats but also about expressing gratitude and fostering connections within our community. We invite you to share in the joy and warmth of this festive season with us!
