A Joyful May at Residential Concepts: Crafts, Creativity, and Community
May was full of color, creativity, and connection at Residential Concepts! From blooming spring crafts to meaningful Memorial Day tributes, our participants stayed busy with engaging hands-on activities designed to spark joy and build community.
Week 1: Celebrating Spring’s Arrival
We welcomed May with floral flair! Participants dove into a bouquet of creative projects, including:

- Paper Hyacinth Flowers
- Cupcake Liner Flowers
- Tissue Paper Flowers
- Coffee Filter Flowers
- Flower Tea Lights
These crafts brought spring indoors and offered a great opportunity to explore textures, colors, and conversation while working with their hands.
Weeks 2 & 3: Birds and Butterflies
As the season continued to bloom, we turned our attention to the winged wonders of spring. Projects included:
- Craft Stick Birdhouses
- DIY Birdhouses from recycled milk jugs and containers
- Paper Bag Bird’s Nest
- Cardboard Tube Butterflies
Our participants enjoyed reusing everyday materials while learning about nature and expressing their creativity.
Week 4: Honoring Memorial Day
Though it was a shorter week, we made time for meaningful Memorial Day-themed crafts and a tasty treat:

- American Flag Wind Streamers
- Memorial Day Suncatchers
- Coffee Filter Poppies
- American Flag Fruit Pizza
- “Rain Cloud in a Jar” science experiment
It was a thoughtful way to honor the holiday while also mixing in a little fun and learning.
