St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Outdoor Adventures at RCI:
March has been an exciting month at RCI’s adult day program, with our focus on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and Easter. Through arts and crafts, we’ve been fostering joy, and a sense of belonging, and celebrating the unique abilities of our participants.
Our creative endeavors have been overflowing with crafts like Green Clovers, Magic Stones, Leprechaun Light Jars, and Rainbow Shamrock Suncatchers. However, one activity stood out as a favorite among our group: trying to catch that mischievous Leprechaun! Inspired by Adam Wallace’s “How to Catch a Leprechaun,” we had a blast working together to design foolproof traps, complete with irresistible gold coins as bait.
Easter Eggs!
As March progressed, we shifted our focus to Easter-themed crafts. Our agenda included making Egg Carton Chicks, Craft Stick Easter Baskets, Easter Handprint Signs, and indulging in the timeless tradition of dyeing Easter Eggs.
Local Parks
But March wasn’t just about indoor activities. We also took the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, soaking in the sunshine and exploring our local walking trails and parks. At RCI, we understand the importance of exercise for physical and social interaction, mood improvement, and overall mental well-being. With the arrival of spring and warmer weather on the horizon, we’re excited to continue our outdoor adventures with recreational activities.
Springing into Celebration
At RCI, every day is an opportunity to celebrate and embrace the diverse talents of our participants. We look forward to more joyful moments and adventures in the months ahead!
