Fourth of July Activities with Residential Concepts

Summer Fun with our Day Program Residents

June & July Highlights ☀️🎨🎉

We’ve been having a blast at the Residential Concepts Day Program this summer, and we’re excited to share some of the fun activities we’ve enjoyed so far in June and July!

We kicked off June with Sports Week, and it was a hit! From themed crafts to hands-on games, everyone got into the spirit of friendly competition. Some of the highlights included smashing a baseball piñata, playing a fun basketball cup (hoop) and ball game, and crafting paper plate tennis rackets to rally with friends. It was the perfect way to start the summer with energy and excitement!

Next up was Camp Week, and we brought the outdoors inside with plenty of creative camping-themed crafts and snacks. Participants made glowing paper bag camping lanterns, delicious-looking cardboard s’mores, and mini cardboard firepits to complete the cozy camp vibe. To top it all off, we made campfire cupcakes that were just as adorable as they were tasty!

After camping fun, we set sail into Pirate Week! This week was packed with adventure. We made our own DIY treasure maps, crafted creative pirate hand hooks, and even bottled up the sea with our ocean in a bottle activity. The imagination and laughter during this week made it one of the most exciting themes so far!

We ended June with our absolute favorite: Carnival Week! This week was filled with color, games, and nonstop fun. Our participants helped design and create DIY carnival games like Paper Plate Ring Toss, Pool Noodle Kerplunk, Wiffle Ball Plinko, Feed the Clown Bean Bag Toss, Ladder Toss, Guessing Booth, Pop Bottle Toss, and a Water Squirt Gun Target Game.

We didn’t stop at games—we also built two carnival photo booths, complete with fun stick props so everyone could strike a pose and capture the memories. The grand finale took place on Friday, June 27th, when all day program groups came together in one of our large garage spaces, which we transformed into a vibrant carnival! It was a day full of laughter, cheering, and playful competition, and it brought our community together in the best way.

From Sports to Camping, Pirates to Carnivals, June was packed with creativity, movement, and connection. We can’t wait to see what the rest of July brings—and we’re just getting started!

Stay tuned for more summer adventures with Residential Concepts!
